Frequently Asked Questions
Are Dhaga India products really 100% handmade?
Yes, unconditionally. Every basket, brass carafe, lamp, and textile is crafted by hereditary artisans and women cooperatives across India using traditional hand tools, manual looms, and hand-beaten bronze methods. No assembly line machinery is used.
Why might my handcrafted piece look slightly different from the photos?
Because human hands create each item without electric dies, slight natural variations in weave tightness, clay terracotta hues, or brass hammer marks are the signature of authenticity. These are not flaws, but the unique soul of handmade craft.
How does your free shipping policy work?
We offer Free Standard Pan-India Shipping on all orders of ₹1199 and above. For orders below this threshold, a flat fee of ₹99 is applied at checkout.
How do I care for my Sabai grass and basket items?
Keep them in a dry, ventilated area. For dusting, use a clean microfiber cloth or a soft bristle brush. If damp, simply air-dry them completely in natural sunlight.
How should I clean my pure Kansa bell-metal carafe?
Wash by hand using natural tamarind pulp, lemon juice, or traditional Pitambari powder. Rinse with warm water and wipe dry immediately with a cotton cloth to prevent water spots.
Is your packaging really 100% plastic-free?
Yes. We wrap our treasures in recycled unbleached kraft paper, corrugate, jute cords, and cloth dustbags. We use zero bubble wraps, tape, or plastic thermocol.
